Just saw this on CNN today, about a new program in Afghanistan called Skateistan. It’s founded by Australian Oliver Percovich. He’s trying to create a positive environment for kids to learn how to skateboard and to teach them skills that could possibly keep them from being a terrorist or involved in the drug trade. They’ll be getting a new, larger facility later in the year, and will start offering English and computer classes. That’s pretty cool.
