skateboarding in China, at skatehere.com

There’s a cool Chinese skate site called skatehere.com. They have a English version which makes it easy for us who don’t read Chinese. The only problem is that you’ll need to sign-up to view some of their content. It’s cool to see skateboarding grow in different ways. Check it.

Skateboarding, now in 31 flavors

There is some serious ridiculousness going on. The shoe and clothing brand called Ice Cream, by Hip Hop dude Pharell and Reebok are doing a skate video. They do have a team that includes the talented Terry Kennedy but come on. They have a sweatshirt that boasts a $200 price tag. What skateboarder can afford [...]

Skateboarders 1996-2006 by Gerhard Stochl

This should be pretty cool if you’re in Berlin. Unfortunately I’m not. I’m not really familiar with the photography of Gerhard Stochl, but, the two photos I’ve seen look pretty cool. For “Skateboarders 1996-2006″ he focuses on the interplay between street skaters and their urban environments—whether they be public art, monuments, architecture, [...]

Tony Hawk’s Project 8 Screen Shots

A new Tony Hawk game is coming sometime this year. It’s called Project 8. I kinda gave up on the Tony Hawk games after the second one. They were just to crazy, 720 to 360 Flip to back 50 to 360 Flip and on and on. This new game, is suppose to be reengineered from [...]

Skateboard Inspiration at its best, via Transworld and Tom Penny

Transworld posted an amazing video yesterday called The Tom Penny mix tape. Wow! It’s freaking amazing. Tom Penny can skate anything, with style, speed and a bag of tricks that no one can touch. Watch this video. I’m going skating.

You can download the full 11:00 min video from Veoh.

Go Skateboarding Day in Austin, Tx

The day’s not over with yet but I thought I would share what went down so far, in Austin, for Go Skateboarding Day. The first thing was a game of S.K.A.T.E. contest at the the local skate shop, Tekgnar. They had free pizza and product for the kids and everyone looked like they had fun. [...]
