With acquisitions like motorcross.com, 411vm and the creation of sk8site.com. Wasserman is becoming quite a powerhouse in Action Sports Media. While trolling the web today I noticed that they’ve recently taken over ownership of the domain skateboard.com. Formerly owned by Tod Swank of TumYeto Inc. The terms of the domain acquisition have not been disclosed, but since I have had personal experience with skateboard.com and know Tod, I doubt that Wasserman paid less than $500k. I haven’t heard Wasserman’s plans for the domain yet but expect to see something new at skateboard.com in the coming months.

Wasserman manages careers of many athletes including pro skateboarders Bob Burnquist, Ryan Sheckler, Paul Rodriguez and others. Additionally, Wasseman has investment in takkle.com which is one the largest sports related social networks.
