Responsibilities:

for a high energy, self-starting conversationalist with
superior phone and organizational skills for an In House
Sales/Customer Service position covering our Mid West and
East Coast territories.

In cooperation with our 4 outside reps who cover the
aforementioned territories, you will work to expand our
current customer base while conducting regular follow ups
with existing accounts to monitor product turnover,
retail-level sales trends, to handle any customer service
issues and of course, to sell.

Responsibilities:
• Phone Sales – You will be responsible for making a set
number of sales calls each day, which will include cold
calls, new account follow ups, retention and general
customer service calls.
• Documentation – Being a direct link with our retailers,
you will responsible for daily call logs with detailed
notes of each contact.
• Communication – Daily and weekly updates of account
activity, new orders/orders and customer service issues
will be imperative.

• Data Entry – You will be responsible for processing
orders on a daily basis which will require you to become
well versed in our business management software.

Requirements:
• 3+ years sales experience – preferably in the action
sports or a related industry – with at least 1 year in
phone sales.

• Excellent conversational skills and phone etiquette.

• The ability to meet goals and deadlines.
• Action sports or youth culture experience preferred,
but we’d settle for an avid skater with the right skills.

TransWorld Digital Media is a division of Bonnier Corporation the publisher of TransWorld Skateboarding, Snowboarding, SURF, RIDE BMX, Motocross, Wakeboarding and Business.

The Digital Sales Development Manager will be a core member of TransWorld Media’s Digital Sales and Marketing team. This person will play a leadership role in the development and execution of strategic sales proposals across the TransWorld network of titles. The candidate will work closely with sales and marketing teams in our Carlsbad California office to develop and execute these sales proposals.

Additionally, this person will be a digital thought leader charged with integrating company best practices and insights (e.g. research findings, ROI models, audience insights, relevant proposals from other brands) across all TransWorld brands.

Responsibilities
• Lead the development of strategic digital sales proposals across the TransWorld network of titles. This includes working with the various TransWorld titles to respond to RFP’s in addition to upstream sales development presentations
• Create impactful presentations that “tell a story” by effectively integrating the TransWorld’s brand with the advertiser’s goals. Strong PowerPoint, Keynote and Excel skills required to bring these proposals to life
• Partner with sales, marketing, development and design team members at each brand to sell in the initial program and to execute based on contractual requirements
• Partner with research teams in the development of primary and syndicated research programs. This includes analyzing Nielsen, comScore and Dynamic Logic studies and aiding in the development of primary research programs fielded on various TransWorld sites
• Support ongoing digital sales training initiatives across the company. This includes training on basic selling skills, interpretation of syndicated data studies and sharing of company selling best practices

Requirements
• The ideal candidate will be a strategic, idea focused person who is able to translate a brand’s communication objective into a powerful program that leverages the particular TransWorld asset
• The candidate will have a minimum 5-7 years experience in sales development and marketing with at least 3+ years online experience — ideally with an online publisher or agency
• The candidate will have a firm grasp of all digital marketing principles: creating value propositions, developing ROI models, ad operations and contextual/social media applications
• The candidate will possess strong analytical skills including a working understanding of Omniture metrics, comScore, Nielsen, Dynamic Logic and other primary research tools
• Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
